I just spent the last two days at a Danish conference called New Media Days. It's an annual event where professionals from both traditional and new media get together and do their best to look into the future.
This year’s event was fully packed with both Danish and international speakers. The opening session was held by Doc Searls – a fast paced speaker who definitely knows his metier.
Doc talked about user generated content in general and YouTube in particular – not surprisingly as Google had acquired YouTube just two days before the conference.
Apart from all the hype about user generated content one of the more interesting concepts was the "River of News". Apparently this concept was introduced by Dave Winer, the founder of UserLand, some time ago - but at least it was new to me :-)
I will try to post a note or two on some of the other issues from the event but in general this year's New Media Days was not as interesting as last year's conference.
